Footpaths/Rights of Way Llangynwyd

Footpath No. 1-  Commences at the southern end of Greenfield Terrace, Pontrhydycyff and proceeds south-west across railway and across fields to the Bridgend/Maesteg Road south of Heol Gadrawd (3,400 yards)

Footpath No. 2 - Commences on Footpath No. 1 (Pontrhydycyff) and proceeds southwards across fields crossing a stream via footbridge to Gelli Siriol Cottages, continues westward along hedge to field to terminate on the Bridgend/Maesteg road (350 yards)

Footpath /Bridleway No. 3 -  Commence on the County road near Nant Y Castell and proceed northwards to a footbridge spanning Nant Lluest Wen south west of Pentre Farm (400 yards)

Footpath No. 4 - Commences on the County road at Brynllywarch - Fawr Farm and proceeds westwards along an accommodation road past the farm to the Bridgend/Maesteg road. Continues south-west along road (crossing footpath No. 24 enroute) past Bryn Y Fro; across fields to the junction of footpath No. 6 near Maes -Cad- Lawr Farm.(1,400 yards)

Footpath/Bridleway No. 5 - Commences on the Bridgend/Maesteg road and proceeds south-west through Maes-Cadlawr Wood parallel to Nant-Gwyn to terminate on the County road near the entrenchments.(1,730 yards)

Footpath No. 6 - Commences on the County road north of entrenchments and proceeds north-east accross fields past the site of an old standing stone to Maes -Cadlawr Farm. Continues through farmyard to the junction of Footpath No. 4 from whence it proceeds northwards across fields to a stile on the County road opposite Footpath No. 7 (1,670 yards)

Footpath No. 7 - Commences on a stile on the County road south of Llangynwyd and proceeds southwards across fields to the junction of Footpath No. 1 at Gadlys Farm. Continues southwards through woodland to a footbridge spanning Nant Y Gadlys then south-east across fields past Bryn Cynan to terminate at a fieldgate on the county road opposite footpath No. 6 (1,700 yards)

Footpath No. 9 - Commences on the County road opposite reservoir at Cwm Cae Lloi and proceeds eastwards across Waun Y Gilfach to Foel Fach Farm. Continues north-east across fields and through wood crossing Nant Y Castell to the junction of Footpath No. 10 from whence it proceeds northwards across fields to the junction of footpath No. 13 near the County road south of Llangynwyd Village (1,700 yards)

Footpath No. 10 - Commences on Footpath No. 9 and proceeds southwards across fields parallel to the Nant and to the junction of Footpath No. 19 (500 yards)

Footpath No. 11 - Commences at FootpathNo. 1 at Tynton and proceeds north-east across fields to the junction of Footpath No. 12 and end of Foel Fach (600 yards)

Footpath No. 12 -Commences at Footpath No. 1 Gilfach Ganol and proceeds north-east across fields to the junction of Footpath No. 9 at the edge of the wood (branch path proceeds from a point north of Gilfach Ganol north-west across fields to terminate on the County road, north of the footpath) (1,400 yards)

Footpath No. 13- Commences at the right angle bend in the County road south of Llangynwyd Village and proceeds north-west across fields via stile and footbridge to terminate on the County road midway between Nant Y Castell and Llangynwyd Village (550 yards)

Footpath No. 14 - Commences at a kissing-gate on Llan Road (Llangynwyd) and procedds north-east across fieldsvia stiles skirting the western tip of  Drysi-Ty'n-Y-Waen (wood) to terminate at a kissing gate on Maesteg Road opposite the entrance to the Neuadd Domos Housing Estate (550 yards)

Footpath No. 15  - Commences on the County road near the reservoir (junction of Footpath No. 9 & Bridleway No. 17) and proceeds north-east across fields to Nant Lluest Wen (Parish Boundary) south of Caer-Emi (700 yards)

Footpath No. 16 - Commences at the County road at Nant Y Castell and proceeds north east across a field crossing Bridleway No. 18 en route to terminate on the County road north-west of the Lamb & Flag on Llan Road.

Bridleway No 17 - Commences on the County road near reservoir and proceeds westwards across fields passing south of Y Bwl- Warcau (Old Roman Camp) to the Parish boundary north-east of Rhyd Blaen - Y - Cwm (1,050 yards)

Bridleway No. 18 - Commences at the junction of Footpath No. 16 and proceeds south-west across fields to the junction of Bridleway No. 3 north of Nant Y Castell (150 yards)

Footpath No. 19 - Commences on Maiden Street Cwmfelin between numbers 55 & 56 and proceeds northwards to a footbridge spanning Nant Y Cerdin (Parish Boundary) (40 yards)

Footpath No. 20 - Commences on Station Road, Pontrhydycyff and proceeds north-west along an accommadation road and across fields alongside railway to Neuadd Domos Farm; continues south-west along accommodation road to terminate on Maesteg Road Cwmfelin opposite Footpath No. 14 (1,150 yards)

Footpath No 21 - Commences on Footpath No. 1 near Gilfach Uchaf and proceeds eastwards across fields and parallel to Nant Bryn Cynon passing Gilfach Ganol and Gilfach Isaf en route, turning gradually north-east to the junction of Footpath No. 1 and 7 at Gadlys farm (1,500 yards)

Footpath No. 22 -Commences on Footpath No. 21at Gilfach Isaf and proceeds southwards across fields to terminate on the county road (750 yards)

Footpath No. 23 - Commences on the County road west of Footpath No. 22 and proceeds south-west across fields to Cwmtir- continues westwards through Craig Yr Aber (wwod) to the Parish boundary (560 yards)

Footpath No. 24 - Commences on Bridleway No. 5 and proceeds north-east along an old tramway (crossing Footpath No 4 near Bryn Y Fro) to the County road - continues north-west along the old tramway to terminate on Llangynwyd Road opposite Footpath No. 1 (1,600 yards) 

Footpath No. 25 - Commences at the junction of the County road south-west of Gilfach Uchaf and proceeds westwards to the Parish boundary (155 yards)
