The June meeting was held on the 5th at the "Ganolfan" with all members present and apologies for absence from CC Haydn Jones. The Chair welcomed PCSO Jeff Kedward from N C Emlyn who gave a brief of activites in the area He stated that a monitor station for traffic census and speed had been set up near Penfai, C Iwan. It was felt that it should have been monitoring the traffic comoing into the village from the northern end (ie Bryngolau downwards. Make contact again with highways to get it set up above Cruglwyd. Members complained that cars and caravanettes were being parked on Council land in front of the chapel at Capel Iwan.. Jeff stated that he would check the owners and give them a warning. The Clerk stated that he was still having problems in obtaining information from the Countryside,Leisure and Activites Dept at Tumble. We are still awaiting payment for last year's maintenance of footpaths and claim forms for 08/09. Clerk to check by telephone Jeff Lewis stated that the second information board had been erected at Ffynon Llawddog Cenarth and also the grass had been cut around the picnic area there Melfydd Jones stated that the minor repairs had been carried out on the stretch of road by Lan Farm. Nigel also thanked the Highways dept for the resurfacing work on the road from Bryn Square to Yet Farm. "Motorway standard!!". He also promised to check the wooden seats near the picnic site and report back. Members also noted that no lay byes had been constructed on the road down Gelli Dywyll straight. Clerk to check with Haydn and Tony Williams. Don also stated that some residents of Pentre Isaf had not been given rubbish bags. Inform Haydn The clerk informed that a network meeting of the TeifiArea would be held at Llanllwni Church Hall on the 10th June at 7 pm A letter was received from the Head of Street Scene explaining ways of reducing energy billls,by Part Night Lighting ie Switching off certain lamps at 12.30am to 5.30am. Interested Councils to contac the Dept asking for further information. Slterations to College farm household had been given planning consent. Forestry determination-planning was not required for building a bridge into the forest at Clynview Boncath. So the work could proceed. A site meeting was held on 2nd June to determine the application for building and access to plot next door to Euron, Capel Iwan The Council received a letter from Head of Planning that an appeal had beenlodged with the National Assy against the decision of the Carm CC to refuse planning for an extension of three extra wind turbines at Blaenbowi (Appeal ref APP 771/W/09828) The appeal starting date was 20th May 2008 Appellant' s name Dewi Jones. The appeal would be a public inquiry,the date and venue had not been arranged. We will be informed.Anyone wishing to comment or chang their previous statements may do so by sending 3 copies of their comments to the Panning Inspectorate, Crown Buildings Cathays Park,Cardiff CF10 3NQ, They should be sent within 6 weeks of the appeal starting date. The Council decided to stick to their original Council statement and support the application, although the three wind turbines are in the Community of Llangeler. A planning application no W/18996 to develop and offer weekday and out of peak season activities at Cenarth Paintball Centre, Allt Y Gelli, Cenarth- woodcraft and bushcraft Skills would be taught. Members stated that Picnic Tables were still being placed outside "The White Hart" in Cenarth and blocking the pavement and pedestrians 2.Problems with overgrown trees and bushes on road from Llwyneinon to Cwmorgan, Penrheol Isaf to Arwelfa, Glenviwe to Penbanc. Also deep pot holes on the hill up past Rehoboth Chapel and also from Penfeidr out to "Banc Cluniar" Abercych. The Clerk to contact the Highways Dept. Don also stated that a tree had fallen across the footpath from Panteg Bridge to Godremamog. William said he would investigate The meeting concluded at 9.30pm .
